We welcome you to a castle ambiance dating back to the early 13th century, created by Count Henrik Dornberški, and rebuilt in the 17th century by noble Ivan Marija Coronini.
We have a dual tradition,
Located at the confluence of two family traditions dating back to 1982, when Ljuba and Zoran began experimenting with flavors on the Goriška region, always different, innovative, special, or sometimes just simple traditional local and Prekmurje dishes. Aleš's grandmother cooked in an old tavern in the Goriška Brda hills.
They say love goes through the stomach, and Renaissance castles are perfect for romantic experiences it was here that Aleš and Mateja met in 2008 and continued the tradition of flavors.
Inspiration comes from the day's circumstances. Aleš finds it during a visit to the morning market, in his mother's herb garden, or among the clouds. His plate is a map that tells you where you are in space and time. He assembles flavors more by themselves than by recipe, so a slice of orange is never the same.
