Located in the historic heart of Old Ljubljana and later on a traditional homestead in the village of Skaručna beneath Mount Šmarna, Žagarjevi se has been dedicated to one thing for forty years: the well-being of their guests.

Old Žagar, once a prominent choir master and former boxer named Pulinoga, used his booming tenor to create harmonious atmospheres, even today Slavko younger continues to delight with green melodies. His vinyl record collection is full of curious and rare items.
Their dishes are prepared with a focus on seasonal ingredients and traditional Slovenian hospitality, sourced from local farms, game reserves, and the nearby hunting familys coolers.
