Enjoy a delicious and traditional breakfast, lunch, or dinner with a modern twist at Restaurant 1906.

Located in the historic Hotel Triglav Bled, with stunning views of Lake Bled, Restaurant 1906 offers a unique culinary experience. The restaurant is named after the year the beautiful villa was built, in the style of Alpine Secession. It is located next to the train station, also built in the same year and style. High-quality cuisine and tradition have always been at the heart of the restaurant.

Instead of a buffet, the restaurant serves daily tasting menus and vegan options, featuring traditional Slovenian and Gorenjska dishes, as well as sustainable practices. During lunch, they offer a Railway Man's Meal, or Eisenbahn Gericht, as it's known locally. The restaurant's menu has been elevated to a three-course meal, prepared exclusively with ingredients from local farmers. The inspiration for the dishes comes from a cook's book left by Nežka Zrimec, who was a cook in the surrounding area. Her recipes have been passed down through her family and are now in the hands of the restaurant's owner, Zdravko Rus.

Some of the dishes include: cold smoked scallops with caviar and horseradish, a soup of dried mushrooms with wild boar and bacon, a štrukel with a brain sauce and hazelnuts, beef with refoška sauce and raspberries, and hazelnut ravioli with chocolate and sour cream ice cream. The vegan menu is equally impressive: almond ricotta, lentil tartar with strawberry compote and vegan feta, and a vitlof (chard) with tofu, shallots and truffles. The menu also includes young potatoes with artichokes, peas, sorrel, corn tagliatelle, and a sweet štrukel for dessert.
