A blend of tradition and modernity under a thatched roof.
Kodila is a unique urban restaurant that feels different from the rest. Surrounded by fields and featuring a straw-covered roof, it's located next to a maturing cellar for traditional Prekmursian sausages, hams, and cured meats. Kodila combines a rich culinary heritage with a modern dining experience. The restaurant's story began over three generations, drawing inspiration from the past and present of local cuisine.
Kodila's story started in the early years of Slovenian independence, when Janez Kodila opened the first butcher shop, reviving a family business tradition. His father had a butcher shop in the Dolenca region before him. In the 1950s, Janko Kodila, his son, continued the family tradition.
