Nestled in the idyllic nature of Medvedje Brdo, just a shot from Logatec, we have a charming tavern and pizzeria, Tavžentroža, where local cuisine welcomes, caresses, and embraces every guest. Its a delightful corner, 14 kilometers from the bustling city center, offering a true sanctuary for lovers of authentic flavors and those seeking comfort or inspiration in their food.
We named Gostilna Tavžentroža after the legendary rose with the power to heal a thousand diseases.
We bring a diversity and richness of local ingredients to the plate, colored with a sense of seasonal and traditional food.
With space for up to fifty-five people in our main dining room and additional intimate cellar rooms for smaller groups of up to forty guests, we promise not only premium culinary delights but also an opportunity to celebrate special moments in nature.
Our guiding principle of the tavern is living in harmony with tradition and natural rhythms, which is reflected in our constantly fresh offerings that follow the changes of the seasons. The culinary team combines traditional techniques with modern cooking techniques.
We create menus that are both familiar and innovative. From home-cooked dishes, game and fish, to specialties from the wood-fired oven such as pizzas, lasagnas and ribs, to vegetarian and vegan options.
Choice is wide and carefully considered. We also pay special attention to desserts, with Prisankovo srce, a dessert born during the pandemic, reigning supreme, becoming a symbol of the tavern and an indispensable part of its offer.
Gostilna Tavžentroža is not just a place where you can find culinary satisfaction, but a space where memories are created and nurtured. Our invitation extends over a schedule from Thursday to Sunday, with an emphasis on reservations for Sunday lunches, which offer the opportunity for longer gatherings and enjoying the carefully prepared dishes.
